Dusting Off the Scars on an Old Door
A few weeks ago I shared that I was repainting all of our exterior doors and what prompted the change.
I knew I needed to sand off the scars on the old door and come up with a new look. I found this handy infographic on color that helped.
And – full disclosure – I love the rosey side of the color wheel so this was just an excuse!
In case you are trying to make the color decision, here’s the a peek at the psychology of color.
Cheery New Exterior Doors
Here are a few more pictures of our makeover and one cool shot that if you look closely, also showcases the beauty of a mid-western fall.
The leaves are a constant battle.
Partly because the neighbors strategy for leaf removal in the fall is to let theirs blow in to our yard… if only the wind would switch direction one year!
And I love the the way the glass in the storm door reflects the beautiful trees of fall…
How did you choose the color on your exterior doors?
