Merry Christmas!
Welcome to the last day of the “Bringing Christmas Home” tour…
If you’ve visited any other blogger homes, you know today is a day to share special spaces…
I love this old house that we call home so I had a hard time deciding narrowing down my choices!
But I finally landed on two spaces. Ironically, the two smallest rooms in the house…
Historic Home Holiday Welcome
The first one is our entry…
Old houses have the greatest way of welcoming friends don’t they?
Come on in and let me show you how this 107-ish year old house says “welcoome!”
We are fans of snow people in this house…you will find evidence of it everywhere!
I love mixing old with new… like this peek-a-boo table combined with a fabulous old Captain’s chair I inherited from one of my little momma’s favorite cousins…
Or this new truck that’s made to look old…
One of my favorite decorations in the Entry way is actually outside…
This fun and feathery wreath I found a few years ago in a Christmas shop in Nashville..
It is the perfect compliment to the holiday swag that lives on the other side of the door…
(Here’s what our Entry looks like when it’s not Christmas! It’s a BEFORE and AFTER peek from when we first bought the house…)
The Sunroom at Christmas
And the other of my favorite spaces is the sunroom…
Nothing fancy…just cozy and comfy!
In one corner of the sunroom, we set up a Cocoa Station for the frosty winter months.
Plain for the kiddos and spiked for the grown ups!
And a little jug of Almond Milk for the health conscious people in our crew…
In the other corner is our fun garden-themed Christmas tree!
So pretty at night all lit up…
The garden theme is perfect for our sunroom since our perennial garden and my beloved window boxes are just beyond this door…
Maybe my garden should be favorite space number 3??
Most months of the year it is actually favorite space number 1 with me!
(Here’s what the sunroom and porch look like after the Christmas elves pack everything back up!)
That’s it folks! Hope you’ve enjoyed the tour…
If you didn’t start with us from the beginning, be sure to head back over to Michele’s blog. There are some very creative bloggers participating in the tour so you won’t want to miss any of their homes!
Hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas and the happiest of New Years!
XO
Shelley
