Can you believe the July 4th holiday weekend is almost here?
Since we were kids Pops has always said Independence Day means summer is over.
I used to think he was being a pessimist (which is NOT at all his nature) when he said that. After all, us kiddos still had 7 more weeks to play!
But the older I get, the more his sentiment rings true.
We love summer in Michigan so much…it just never seems to last long enough.
Last week I shared quick and easy patriotic window box ideas…
They are so much fun to do! Gardening is such a stress-buster!!
Inspiring Ideas for Your July 4th Celebrations

Triple Berry Lemon Layered Cream Cake
Is it really necessary to say anything more?
Possibly my all-time favorite patriotic centerpiece!
Aren’t these the cutest? Seriously. I can’t even stand it.
Fun way to give your lawn some zip for your July 4th party…
And, NO, it doesn’t kill your grass!
Doesn’t this look like fun?
These little treats look tasty and patriotic!
Refreshing adult beverage for a hot July day!
Whimsical July 4th Fruit Bowl
(fyi- no source on Pinterest for this one! I’d love to link to your site if it’s yours…)
Are you inspired? I know I am…
Now I have to figure out which of these projects to tackle first!
Hoping to convince my little momma to share her festive Italian Creme Cake before the 4th.
You will definitely want to make it for your picnic if she does. Stay tuned…
Until next time,
Shelley
