A new take on an old Christmas tale…
‘Twas a few nights before Christmas, and all through the house,
Chewed up dog toys, pillows, and slippers were strewn all about.
Garland on the banister and trees all hung astray,
With bits and pieces of decorations going every which way.
Cardboard and gates barricaded the tree, den, and stairs,
Trying to contain the family member with the curly, apricot-colored hair.
The stockings were hung by the fireplace with care,
With Daisy Mae’s house nestled right…under…there…
This year we’ve learned that Christmas with a puppy requires compromise,
Because everything looks like a chew toy through Daisy Mae’s eyes.
From pillows gone missing to tangled garland on the tree,
The house looks a little messy this Christmas, as you no doubt can see.
But it’s worth it to us to be able to say…
Welcome to the family, sweet Daisy Mae!
Sending our Merry Christmas wishes to all…
And to all a good night!
Until next time,
Shelley
