31 Days of Living an Artful Life

October 1, 2014 By Shelley Leave a Comment

Living an artful life

Welcome! I am so excited to be participating in the 31 Days of Writing project sponsored by The Nester. For me, the timing is perfect. I’m in the middle to transitioning my blog from a chronicle of my journey through a serious illness to a full-fledged lifestyle blog! I won’t bore you with the details of my illness and loooong recovery except to say I’ve learned how much living an artful life can help you cope during times of trouble. And I’ve also learned I ain’t no wimpy girl… I am a warrior! Wohoo!!

Starting with this blog, I will be sharing ways to live an artful life. One blog a day for every day in October. Yikes y’all! That is a real commitment isn’t it?

Living an Artful Life

Let’s be clear… By artful, I don’t mean you have to paint a masterpiece like Monet or sculpt a bronze like Rodin. I mean things like taking an online watercolor class, joining a local writer’s club, busting out a can of spray paint and re-purposing some ugly junk, or taking artists excursions around your own community. I’ll share my journey to keep art in my life and hope it gives you some inspiration. Especially if, like me, you are on the road to recovery from an illness or other difficult time.

Sound like fun? Then pull up a chair and follow along…
