April Snow Not Good for Anxious Gardeners

April 20, 2013 By Shelley Leave a Comment

071As part of my Digital Media education, I’m trying to explore all things digital. Makes sense right? People think blogging can make them rich. I have a blog for my business and its a lot of work. So far, no riches either. I’ve decided this will just be my fun blog. I’m going to share my favorite places, interview folks I find fascinating, and generally use it like my own little discovery journal. If at some point I can monetize it, yippee! If not, c’est la vie. On to gardening stuff.

Today I’m cursing mother nature. I’m a gardener and she hasn’t been nice this spring. It is April 20th and we woke up to snow on the ground. What is the b*tch thinking? I want to dig in the dirt not the snow! So I’m consoling myself by looking at photos from my garden last year. Even though I was ridiculously sick, it looked pretty good. This summer, I’m stronger and hoping for great! Of course, keeping in mind that my 2013 mantra is BEST. And, I always knock wood when I say anything related to my health and getting better. That’s because the gods of recovery always seem to knock me down a peg when I think I’ve turned that final corner and am moving in to full recovery status. Just a little reminder to me that I’m not really in charge.

So here are a few photos from last year… more for me than you really. But I hope you enjoy them, too.
