Don’t ya just love fall? Much as I hate to bid farewell to summer, the Great Lakes area is spectacular this time of year too. Is it a sign I’m getting old because I’m so excited that pansies and pumpkins have finally made their arrival? If you check out my photos from yesterday, you can see what a difference they make in my fall window boxes and containers. Same photos from yesterday (below) but with pansies and cute little pumpkins!
I’m still getting the hang of taking pictures, editing them, adding a watermark and posting them here. Quite frankly…its a lot of work! But I’m having fun with it. So maybe by next year when its time to break ground on the new house, I’ll be a real pro! The only real bright spot in leaving this old house and all its charm behind is the chance to build a new home from the ground up. My Pinterest boards are blowing up with all my ideas!
So tune in this weekend! I will share my photos from this fantastic new greenhouse and nursery I found, as well as instructions for making the FALL banner above. I had originally planned to hang the banner across the front of the window box but when it was time to hang it last night, those Million Bells were looking so darn pretty, I couldn’t bear to pull them. Once they give up for the year, I plan to move the banner up a little higher on the window box.
Would love to hear what some of y’all do for fall window boxes! I’m sure my tattered little scarecrow will be going to the “old scarecrow retirement home” after this season. So I’ll be looking for some new ideas!
All the best,
Shelley
