Put Your Wine Down – Try a Fall Martini!

October 8, 2014 By Shelley Leave a Comment

Fall drink ideas

I hit the liquor store yesterday. No, not in a way that I’m gonna end up on the news. Just to get some ideas on what new things are out there for fall. I was going through a few summer martini pictures and boo-hooing that the trip I was hoping to take to Nashville next month just won’t fit in my schedule. I sure will miss you #FrothyMonkey #YouTooTinCottage

I decided I needed to have some fun gal pals over and see what kind of trouble we could stir up. After a few text messages and phone calls, next Wednesday has officially become “Wine Down Wednesday.” I’m not much of a wine drinker despite the fact that I come from a line of serious wine folks. #Life’sTooShortToDrinkBadWine #GospelAccordingToMomma!

So I jumped in my car and headed on over to Cork’s Fine Wine and Liquor. They know me there even though – cross my heart – I’m not much of a boozer.

Fun Fall Martinis

Turtle in the Pumpkin Patch MartiniHere’s some of the fun stuff I brought home:

Fulton Harvest Pumpkin Pie Cream Liqueur– You use it to make… Turtle in the Pumpkin Patch!!! How do you not love a martini that combines the best of a turtle sundae with pumpkin? You will also need a little caramel vodka to make this sip of deliciousness. Sobieski’s Karamel was the only one I could find.

Pumpkin Spice Kahlua – Coffee flavor and pumpkin combined? Two of those went in my buggy!

I also picked up some of my favorites… Godiva chocolate liqueur, Vanilla Stoli, and some honey bourbon. (Not kiddin’ about my love of all things Southern…)

I’ve been all over the internet “researching” fall drink recipes and checking the cupboards for Pumpkin Pie Spice, caramel sauce, chocolate sauce and more goodies. We’ll be stirring up what I’m sure will be some new favorites! I’ll share them with you soon.

Shelley

p.s. A note to the I’m sure fine folks at Kahlua… would it kill you all to throw a few recipes on your site to go with that Pumpkin Spice Kahula? You should check out the rock star recipe page at Fulton Harvest. #TryingToPumpUpYourSales #YourWelcomeFall Martini ideas
