I found this on Pinterest last night. Unknown source. But fitting for those of us trying to recover from illnesses. It sure is hard some days to believe the sun is going to shine again when the rain and storms keep coming.
Yesterday my news was bad bloodwork again. I wanted to scream enough already when the nurse called me to tell me my doctor needed me to come back in for more bloodwork and more testing. But it isn’t her fault. Obviously right? And if you are unlucky enough to be seriously or chronically ill, living close to The University of Michigan Medical Center makes you pretty lucky.
So in a few days, I will take my bad blood and my beat up veins and head back to the U.
Then I will head to Zingerman’s for something tasty like their coconut and lime coffee cake (“you put the lime in the coconut and stir it all up…”) and maybe Downtown Home & Garden because the pansies are in! Nothing says spring in Michigan like a flat or two of Jack Frost pansies to plant in your window boxes and containers until the last frost. Which hopefully means sunny days are in sight…
